Family Faith Formation Resources

We know that families are working hard to keep up their academic work from home these days.  Our prayers are with you.
This section is dedicated to the many ways we can keep our children focused on their faith and the reassurance of Jesus in all of this.  Without the Sunday masses we have even more responsibility to purposely set Sunday aside for our spiritual development.  Inside the walls of your home is your church.  May it be vibrant and faith filled…

One Minute Sunday Reflections

COMING SOON…. We will soon be providing you access to some easy-to-read One Minute Reflections for each Sunday. These are a great way to get more out of the readings and as busy parents, more easily and realistically apply them to our every day lives.

October 2020

Growing with the Gospel – Children’s Liturgy Bulletin Page:  We now have a page within our Sunday bulletin dedicated to a fun and applicable understanding of the Gospel for children in preschool through 3rd grade. There are short and simple explainations of the Sunday Gospel readings, a short prayer for your child, a mission for them to practice what they have learned through the Gospel reading, and a couple puzzles for some faith-filled fun!  If you want to receive the bulletin weekly in your inbox as a downloadble PDF, please opt-in by visiting the link below and click “SUBSCRIBE”, located on the top/middle portion of the screen:

Catholic Central: An AWESOME resource for any at home Catholic tween/teen faith formation.  Their Motto: Entertaining and Informing – and they are true to that! They have short and sweet videos that hit a bunch of great faith topics for teens to help them understand their Catholic faith better. After viewing the video together, scroll down the page for some reflection questions, a short suggested activity to follow the lesson, and some additional resources regarding the topic video. This is a personal favorite of mine (Elena Pope) for some excellent at-home faith formation with your teens! I love it!

Life Teen:   This is a tremendous site written directly to teens.  It’s worth a view by you, the parent to see which one you think best speaks to your child.  In the absence of the Sunday Masses, we suggest this weekly podcast reflecting on the Sunday readings. Check out their Parent Life site directed to parents of teens for some helpful relational resources to help you talk with and understand some common teen topics and issues.

The Bible Project: Want to take advantage of a GREAT way to understand and explore the Bible together? Check out my FAVORITE Bible resource. This one does not disappoint for any teen to adult age viewer. If you’ve always wanted to read the Bible, but struggle for any reason…this is the website for you! (They have an OUTSTANDING app as well!)
