Faith Formation

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Romans 10:17

Faith Formation is the mission of the church to call baptized Catholics to life-long growth in their faith and rosarycommitment to a life of discipleship in Christ.  Faith formation happens in a variety of ways through: teaching, prayer and liturgy, evangelization (reaching out to others by word and example to join in this great work of salvation), works of justice and service and the community life of the church.  Faith formation happens most fruitfully in the hearts of the faithful when it is prepared for, engaged in, and reflected upon.

St. Christopher Parish offers its parishioners opportunities to grow closer to the Lord (faith formation) in its many liturgical celebrations of Eucharist and Sacraments, its observance of the seasons of the Church Year, its many community events both community building and service projects (most of which are listed in this directory), and the various educational and ministry programs addressed to the needs of more specific groups such as Center of Children, GIFT, Youth Ministry, School, RCIA and Adult Faith Enrichment.  Growth in faith opportunities will be advertised in the bulletin and through other communication methods as the year unfolds.
